<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">You read about people in the Bible praying for long periods of time, and you wish you could do that, but how? Stories of prayer warriors like “Praying John Hyde” and George Muller intrigue you, but you think that kind of praying is only for the super spiritual.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Two sisters, a year apart in middle school, returned from winter break after a week at Disney World with their family. One was down in the dumps and when asked what was wrong, she retorted, “I just came back from a week off school in Florida to this freezing cold weather and homework––that’s what’s wrong.”</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">I know that winter is hard. I know it’s long in Chicago, and there isn’t much for us to do outside when it’s cold here. I also know that seasonal depression is a real thing.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">A fifty-one-year-old widow in Oklahoma City was diagnosed with a terminal illness and was told that she had just a year to live. She had saved up money during her life and decided that over her last year, she would spend as much as possible, to find a year of happiness.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Is our God interactive? Can we encounter his presence in such a way that we sense his prompting and hear his voice with spiritual ears? Or is he just way up there and us down here?</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Wow. What a week. Most of you are aware that Junior and I recently returned from an inquiry trip to Africa to check out a ministry that our church supports: Africans Reaching Africa.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">This last month I’ve been writing about the Four Faces of The Bridge.&nbsp;We took last week off because it was Christmas weekend. But we’re back to finish the series this week.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Once an artist was painting a winter scene. As he began to paint, the scene that unfolded on the canvas was of snow covered ground and pine trees. The artist's hand brought the day to a close and night fell on the canvas, and the entire scene was covered with semi-darkness.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Two weeks ago I began a mini-series called Four Faces of The Bridge. Each of these faces can be found if you look for them. Every church should have them and I am not sure I would want to be part of a church that didn’t. Hopefully, you will look for your own face and do an honest evaluation of where you are at.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Last week I introduced Four Faces at The Bridge by talking to the Spiritual Seeker. Jesus Christ is real in our lives, and we’d be thrilled if you saw that and received him into your life.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In these next four blogs, I’d like to introduce you to four people. One of them is you. We’ll call this The Four Faces At The Bridge.</p>
